Pandemic preparedness with the mobile Fast MDx platform
A review funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and carried out by Ilesh V Jani and Trevor F Peters, entitled Nucleic Acid Point-of-Care Testing to Improve Diagnostic Preparedness, perfectly explains the greater need for high-throughput Point-of-Care preparedness that only the Fast MDx platform offers.
Being mobile, low cost and simple to use, the Fast MDx platforms in normal times will be used in labs but can easily and simply be deployed into the field and used with validated assays from any source.
The Fast MDx platform is similar in effect is to a military reserve force that can be deployed to fight any future pandemic at a moments notice.
